Chiara Barberi

I’m a Communication & Graphic Designer exploring design as a cultural and political practice. My work draws on experiences across diverse fields, including photojournalism, classical studies, art and sociology. I focus on translating complexity into clear visual communication where meaning comes before form.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Communication Design from Politecnico di Milano. In 2024, I spent an Erasmus semester at Media University, in Berlin, where I further refined my practice.
ViaVài

2023 UX/UI Design Branding
As the years go by, difficulties and fears tend to increase for each individual, making it far more challenging to organise a trip independently. When it comes to travel, the population segment aged 75+ is often overlooked. In fact, despite being a growing sector, “silver tourism” is not yet clearly defined.

This is why ViaVài was created: an intelligent app that uses AI to facilitate the organisation of independent travel for older adults. The app is tailored to the specific needs of its target audience. From suggesting which medicines to pack to adapting a complex itinerary during the trip, ViaVài takes care of everything.

And if a problem arises during the journey, our virtual travel assistant is there to resolve it for you. Thanks to AI, it is possible to better support vulnerable groups such as the elderly, guiding them within a sector that must become increasingly inclusive over time.

Through the three main sections on the homepage, users can plan their trip from start to finish, covering the itinerary, luggage, and the health information required for the destination country. In addition, the navigation bar provides access to two key features: a virtual travel assistant that helps solve common everyday problems during the journey, and a medicine section where users can enter their personal prescriptions and receive reminders of what to bring with them for the trip.
