Chiara Barberi

I’m a Communication & Graphic Designer exploring design as a cultural and political practice. My work draws on experiences across diverse fields, including photojournalism, classical studies, art and sociology. I focus on translating complexity into clear visual communication where meaning comes before form.

I hold a Master’s Degree in Communication Design from Politecnico di Milano. In 2024, I spent an Erasmus semester at Media University, in Berlin, where I further refined my practice.
Takyon – New platform

2024 UI Design
Takyon is an innovative Italian startup reshaping the hospitality industry with a bold yet simple idea: making hotel bookings resellable. By leveraging blockchain technology and NFTs, the platform allows users to buy, resell, or exchange Taks, a new kind of flexible, digital booking.

The main goal was to design and implement Takyon’s new platform, introducing the concept of a Digital Wallet for travel bookings. Built with a mobile-first approach, the platform ensures a smooth and consistent experience across both desktop and mobile, offering users an intuitive and engaging way to manage their stays.

One of the main challenges was that no similar platforms existed: we had to design entirely new interactions and interface patterns, translating an innovative and complex concept into something immediately understandable and easy to use. I was responsible for the UI design, working closely with the UX designer to shape a seamless user journey and deliver a functional, consistent, and visually coherent experience across all devices.
